Greece uses the Euro and we recommend having some on hand for taxis, smaller shops, and locations that may not accept credit cards. Visa and Mastercard credit cards are widely accepted, AMEX is not accepted in many places on the island. Make sure to check if your preferred card charges an exchange fee!
